Costa Rica

Pure Flavor, Bright, Highly Aromatic

Where is Costa Rica?

Costa Rica (translation "Rich Coast" is located in Central America. It is bordered by Nicaragua, Panama, the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. Most Costa Rican coffee is grown on small farms called fincas at altitudes over 3900 feet. The high altitude slows the maturity of the bean, keeping it denser and locking the rich flavor inside.

What makes these beans unique?

Costa Rica is the only country where it is forbidden by law to grow lesser-quality Robusta beans. Its superior Arabica trees thrive on the uniquely acidic soil created by over 200 volcanic formations. These conditions produce coffee of legendary completeness that is rarely out of balance and free from defect or taints.

Suggested Ways to Enjoy these Beans

Costa Rican coffee is the “classic cup” - it pairs well with most foods, particularly breakfast fare. While chocolate and cream-based desserts are overpowered by more pronounced coffees, they are complimented by the bright citrus and berry-like flavors of Costa Rican beans.
